ABOUT

Erin’s yoga journey started by chance when her regular pilates teacher at a local gym discontinued. A yoga teacher was her original teacher’s replacement instead, and, needless to say, she was not thrilled. Little did she know this teacher would transform her life. From her teacher, she has developed strength, perseverance and as Erin began to improve on her asanas, her perception of yoga changed as well. Yoga was addictive; for every pose she achieved, it harnesses that energy which moved her onto the next challenging pose, bringing her to where she is today.

She has been recently certified by the Yogavatar New Age Yoga School and through it, gained a deeper understanding of yoga, its philosophies and the proper techniques of getting into asanas. She had immersed herself from the traditional sun salutation right up to the new age style, and the many forms of yoga were represented extremely well by the Yoga Masters of the school. They, too, like her original yoga teacher were inspiring.

Currently, as an aspiring yoga teacher coupled with her lecturing experience, she aims to bring the creative energy that her foreteachers had into the classes that she teaches and to inspire her students to believe in themselves, not forgetting to also be accompanied by lots of practice! She is of the opinion that it is not enough to just teach but that a great teacher ensures her students have learnt. She hopes that they too will, like her, begin to reap the benefits of being at one with themselves; body, mind and spirit, both inside and outside the studio, on and off the mat, and when this has been achieved; she would have achieved her ultimate role as a teacher.

ABOUT

I was not an exercise person since young, I never really into any exercise  or sport until having some age that I think I should start to do some exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Yoga is the only exercise I can think of to try out compare among all other sports.

At first I need accompanist to go together to start up and maintain, but later on I slowly getting more independent to go to yoga class, sure one of the reason is my lower back pain, and I hope yoga could help me to release the pain, however, the more I joined the class, the more I felt curious how yoga was created and how my teacher plan the class that so amazing can make people feel comfortable in just an hour class. And I am quite looking forward since people who is doing yoga has nice body posture, I wished I could look nice whenever I walk, I sit and so on.

By chance, I saw an advertisement of yoga teacher training course, so it really inspire me to go for it. Since I have still two kids and business to take care, I still can’t give up to know more about yoga, so I found Yogavatar which can provide me 200 hours intensive course, to fill my desire to know more about yoga.

Yoga is a personal target for me that not compare or compete to anyone but myself, an exercise that can deeply look into myself, body and mind. By doing yoga everyday, my body and mind getting stronger bit by bit unconsciously.

I wish to continue yoga journey and explore it more as it is an unfinished journey, and do my best to share the knowledge of yoga to people surrounding me to bring healthy and happiness life to the world.

I am Siuyong. I am a certified 200 hours yoga teacher. I brings my sincere love for yoga and people to every class I hold. I see yoga as a way of inspiring lives and a meaning of discovering one’s self. My classes combine a creative flow of asana with a strong focus on depth and subtle energies of the breath. In my classes, I aim to create an accepting and non-judgement environment where you can strengthen, restore and challenge yourself safely and creatively. I have found yoga to be calming, helping to manage stress and to help relax, with any physical benefit as icing on the cake. I hope to help my students treasure yoga as much as I do, and to develop their own consistent and joyful practices, and to enjoy yoga’s many benefit for their bodies, minds, emotions and spirits. I have trained by R2 Tho Hui Lee and iRyne Yogavatar in Yogavatar 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Although Jacqueline just started to practice yoga, she realized that it helped her to recover from her injuries , become stronger, more flexible, and fearless. It also teaches her to live her life by being calm and happy.

Then, with her flexibility and passionate she’s now a certified yoga teacher. Yoga has becomes a part of her life. She wants to share all her knowledge, love, and experiences to inspire all her friends.

Yoga help us to experience calmness and peace between poses. Yoga asanas does have a psychological effects towards anyone when practise with Ujjayi breathing and being aware of body movement.

“All roads that lead to success have to pass through hard work boulevard at some point” is Jacqueline’s motto as she believes everything comes with a price, we must work hard to succeed. This motto has keep motivating her to grow and transform in her life.

Yoga reminds her to live in the moment. The deep breaths, the positive words from the instructor, the slow and steady movements for each pose, all these things help her to stay in the present. She can forget about everything that happened before She came to yoga and forget everything that she needs to do after. It’s like getting a break from her brain.

Yoga eases her aches and pains. Another benefit of yoga is how she feel afterwards relaxed, calm and able to handle whatever is coming next. The pain and tension she come into the studio with one left behind when she leave. She also tend to sleep better after a yoga session.

She loves learning, she loves being present in my body. She loves being led, and she loves how the practice always yields a feeling of strength and connection to herself and to her family. Practicing yoga reveals what is happening inside us. And some times we have more turbulence inside us than we realize. The practice simply uncovers what we are already feeling.
