What is SMRT-CORE?

SMRT-CORE™ programming is myofascial total body training that combines Self-Myofascial Release Techniques (SMRT) and progressive core work using Trigger Point Performance’s GRID™ Revolutionary Foam Roller.

Learn how to take the benefits of traditional foam rolling to the next level by enhancing the effects of SMR and boosting performance through core strengthening. Combining these two elements allows you to maximize time and effectiveness as you boost client and athlete performance with the health benefits of massage and total body exercise. In this training, you will learn the advantages of SMRT-CORE™ programming, proper execution of movements on The GRID™ Revolutionary Foam Roller, how to implement SMRT CORE programming into different markets, and effective coaching and cueing techniques.

Vikasa Yoga is an integral system of yoga resulting from classical Hatha yoga, Himalayan Vinyasa and higher Taoism practices. A fusion of the three lineages allows for a very effective and complete system resulting in personal evolution. Specific religious attributes found in certain lineages have been removed from the teachings, leaving the focus on the most effective techniques. The techniques and understandings are to be collected and processed through self practice with an emphasis on personal interpretation and contribution. It is an honest system with self development, self actualization, and individuality at its core. Emphasis is placed on the journey, or evolution of an individual. Encouraging evolution leads to a natural progression of individuality where uniqueness is celebrated as a natural piece of the oneness we are all part of. This opposes the often found dissolution of identity and ego which can inspire conformity and unnecessary isolation. A careful distinction is drawn between oneness and conformity. Oneness being the acceptance of what is, including all that is around you and inside you. Conformity is referenced to include unimportant religious practices and dogmatic systems. The system encourages function within an existing society, rather than against it or apart from it. This allows for deeper connections with the spiritual and physical beings that surround us on a daily basis. It is possible to reach your personal goals using principles of energy conservation, transformation and Taoist circulations. When individuality is inspired and oneness within community is celebrated, the teachings become inclusive of infinite possibilities.

p kosta
Konstantin Miachin is the founder of Vikasa Yoga and an international teacher. He has been passionately learning, practicing, and teaching Yoga since 2004, and his passion has lead him to search out his own personal development throughout the world. Kosta’s years of worldly experience have led to deeper understanding of yoga as a personal journey and spiritual evolution. On his journey he spent months in the ashrams of the remote Himalayan mountains, trained in a Muay Thai Boxing camp, was initiated by the master monk and has undergone a sacred Sak-Yant ceremony in a temple in North-East Thailand, practiced yoga everywhere and found his true passion in Koh Samui, Thailand. This quest has brought him into contact with many different schools and masters all over the world, in places such as Rishi-kesh, Uttar Kashi, Gangotri, Kerala, Goa, Canada, Thailand, and Ukraine to name a few. Konstantin has completed teacher trainings and is certified in 5 different schools: Yoga 23 (Ukraine), Sivananda (India), Ashtanga Vinyasa (Thailand) and Andiappan Yoga (Hong Kong) and Universal Yoga (Master Andrey Lappa). Such an overwhelming wealth of knowledge has led to a deeper understanding of yoga practice as an ever evolving process – rather than a finalized system and the concept of “Evolution of Yoga” was born.[/toggle]
