Deepak Kumar is more commonly known as Deep, hails from India.

He began his journey into yoga in 1994, and followed the manner of traditional yogis the art and science of yoga by learning at Tapovan Dhyan Dham Vidhyapeeth, a classical yoga ashram located at the foothills of the Himalayas . Thereafter, he pursued the advanced yoga teacher training course at the world renowned Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute. He is trained in various Asanas styles Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yogic Therapy, Yin Yoga, Meditation, healing and specialized in yoga breathing (Paranayam) and other aspects of yoga for the purpose of health, healing and rejuvenation. His love for Patanjali Yoga sutras (Yoga Philosophy) has made these sutras contemporary to modern society. His deep understanding of anatomy physiology and psychology helps students to go deeper into Yoga practice with traditional and modern approach.

Anna Suvorova dreams of a better world. She is a writer and Reiki master with a Master’s degree in Russian Literature who teaches Yoga and Meditation and will answer to the title of ‘Raw Chocolatier’.

Anna was born in Ukraine in 1968. Her Ukrainian mother is an absolute food magician, who loves books and animals. Her father was in a Russian military having new assignments every year, so Anna’s traveling around started at a very early age.

Anna was always an unusual child, an “old soul” as she has been called by her magical grandma, and could not speak properly until late 20s. She has lived with a compromised autoimmune system since very early age, and she had to do a tremendous work on herself to overcome the effects of the physical abuse until the age of 15.

Anna’s passion for truth and beauty, consciousness and Harmony led her to have a Master Degree in Russian Literature and language, to study psychology, hypnotherapy, Reiki, nutrition and philosophy, including her beloved yoga.  Having to fight for her right to feel well, she chose to stay away from medication, trusting she would find her way to health naturally (or die naturally:-)) Since then she has embarked upon a unique journey of self-healing, self-discovery and liberation. Anna likes to joke, “If it had not been for Yoga, Love and Raw chocolate, I would not even bother landing on this planet.”

Jason Moriarty. A rebellious conditioning coach, Jason questions all we hold true in health and fitness and finds it lacking, he dislikes working out, but loves to have fun with movement. Ganesh Upadhyay was brought up in the yoga tradition since a young child in Nepal and India. He has been practising for over 20 years and has studied yoga at the Vivekananda Yoga University in Bangalore, Divine Life Society in Rishikesh, Bihar School of Yoga in Munger and KPJ Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore. He holds a Master in Sanskrit and Vedic Philosophy from Banaras Hindu University, and frequently participates in yoga conferences around India.

Ganesh is a highly enthusiastic teacher with bounds of energy and creativity, and is extremely willing to share his knowledge and experience. He has a natural flair for understanding the human physical, energetic and mental faculties which enables him to help every individual to work to his or her fullest potential.

PARUL MEHTA is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. A lawyer by training and a mother of 2, she is a practitioner of yoga for more than 20 years. Parul started teaching yoga in 2000 and found full expression in the Iyengar Yoga tradition in 2004 under the tutelage of the late Karin O’Bannon, a highly respected Senior Iyengar Yoga Teacher. With her frequent trips to Pune, she has studied with The Iyengars themselves – Guruji BKS Iyengar, Geetaji and Prashantji. In addition, she has been fortunate to journey her learning with the best of senior Iyengar teachers – Birjoo Mehta, Faeq Biria, Usha Devi and Peter Scott.

Parul says: “Yoga has always been the one constant through my life. It is expressed in my dance, my singing, and even in my training in law”.

Parul teaches with a passion and moves to inspire her students to connect with themselves, physically, mentally and spiritually. She infuses in them the confidence to aspire to reach their potential. Her sincerity and personal guidance to each student in her group classes, bonds her to them.

Jean’s classes are essentially wisdom based and she continuously strive to swirl the concepts of Patanjali and Tantra into her yoga sequences.Jean loves watching and seeing her students evolve and change, physically, mentally and emotionally. Yoga has shown how powerfully we can connect at all levels.

As a teacher and as a practicing student with Manasa, Jean herself  is ever growing. She has along the way in her 9 years of teaching come to accept her incapabilities and balanced that with the knowledge that there are still infinite possibilities.

James Wong has been practicing yoga for more than 10 years & has been actively teaching for almost 8 years. He is an ERYT200 Certified US Yoga Alliance teacher & Yoga Trainer. James  is fun loving, gentle but can  also be dynamic in his yoga classes; accompanied with his creative sequencing and good coaching skills. His classes emphasizes a lot of foundational and functional anatomy aspects of yoga which he adopts his teachings from various yoga backgrounds such as Vinyasa Flow, Iyenger, Asthanga, Hatha Yoga, Forrest Yoga, Yin Yoga, Kundalini, Pranayama Yoga and many more.

He learns his yoga from various renowned teachers such Noah Maze, Christina Sell, Tiffany Crushank, Kathryn Budig, Martin Kirk, Amy Ippoliti, Patrick Creelman, Marla Apt, Erica Mather (Forrest Yoga) & Kino McGregor. In recent years he has also developed skills in Zen Thai Massage learning from great teachers such as Saul David Ryle and Gwen Williams which he incorporates into his trigger point Yin Yoga classes. James feels that one of the greatest gift of being a teacher is seeing students progressed well physically, mentally and emotionally through their yoga practices in both Yang and Yin aspects. Currently, he teaches Gentle, Dynamic, Advance & Hot Yoga which concentrates on both alignment and power classes according to the level of students. He also organizes Yoga retreats for his students and corporate companies as well. Maizan Mansor Ahern (BSc, BA Ohio University, USA) has been practising Pilates and Yoga for over 11 years. She is Principal/Owner and Senior Instructor at Prescriptive Fitness in Perth, Australia. In her journey beginning with a back injury in 2001, she discovered pilates for rehabilitation and obtained a Pilates Instructor Certification from The Meridien Pilates Studio, Vancouver, Canada. She proceeded to practise Chi Gong and Ashtanga yoga as a natural evolution to have a well rounded practice in conjunction with Pilates.

Balraj Pannu’s passion is to empower you with all the natural options available to connect and grow your relationship with your inner intelligence.

Balraj read law at Keble College, Oxford University. After a few years practising law at the most profitable law firm in England (in their London and Hong Kong offices) he felt the void and decided to do something useful. He retired from law an­d decided to visit India to see what the big fuss is about meditation.

He ended up staying in India a year and a half longer than expected. There he lived in Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital of India and the last town before the Himalayans mountains start. As things go, he found himself volunteering at a Meditation Research Institute acting as intermediary between scientists from US and European universities and the Himalayan Yogis who maintained amazing meditation disciplines. With his legal background, he tried to navigate both parties’ requirements as he looked for answers to his own questions.  Destiny then made him a Kundalini Yoga teacher.

Balraj is now completely convinced of the bodymind’s inner intelligence. Our bodies always send us signals on what is good and bad for us. However, we have adopted a culture of ignoring these important signals. After a while the bodymind stops sending signals and this loss of intelligence, this faint change of vibrations in the quantum field, present itself as an illness or as part of the aging process. Fortunately, this process can be reversed and you can be in complete harmony with your inner intelligence.

Conscious living. It’s not a movement. It’s just the way it is now.

Michaela Hasenauer is originally from Germany and has lived in Malaysia since 1999. Having been a yoga practitioner for many years she enriched her knowledge and practice further when she arrived in Asia. Michaela studied under several well-known Senior Iyengar Yoga Gurus from Australia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the USA. She became a qualified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and started teaching in 2004. Besides running her own yoga studio in Country Heights, Kajang, she is conducting classes at Yogashala in Taman Desa.

Matthew Kemp has practised Yoga since he was a teenager. He lived in India for 7 years where he learned the yoga technique in Shivanada. He studied further Pranayama, Meditation and Yoga Asanas at the KryaYoga Ashram under Swami Shanker Ananda Giri. He also studied Ashtanga Yoga at Mysore.

He has been in Malaysia since 2006 where he teaches intermediate and advance level classes.

Since 2009 he has developed a strong interest in the Tripsichore technique (movement with breath) under the teaching of Edward Clarke. It is the key component of his teachings today.

Carina Lipold is an expert in health and wellness on an individual and corporate level and is one of the leaders and the health & wellness industry in Malaysia.

Her passion for this field started in her early childhood, when we was diagnosed with a genetic disorder that cannot be cured but the burden can be lessened with a healthy lifestyle. After experimenting with western and alternative health, as well as diets and others, she  found her personal path to well-being.

Passionate to pass this knowledge on and help others, she did her Master Degree in Health Management in Austria, became a certified NLP, NS and Hypnosis Practitioner and obtained further certifications as Obesity Trainer, Nordic Walking Instructor etc.

This knowledge she refined in one of the world’s best wellness resorts such as Rancho La Puerta in Mexico and Six Senses. At Six Senses Qatar she was building up and leading the new Holistic Health department where she provided coaching, workshops, corporate wellness programs and invited international health & wellness experts to the location. Due to the success of those offers she was sent to provide training to other Six Senses locations in the region such as Kuwait and Oman.

Beginning of 2012 she started her own company “CL Consulting” in Malaysia where she provides consulting services to the leading spa & wellness companies as well as coaching and personal training for individuals. This particular sequence is based on the rules of Ancient Traditional Hatha Sequencing and Yoga therapy Rules. This series is a part of Deep’s Neo Hatha Yoga Teacher Training. He has worked on hundreds of people all over the world and has given healing effect to them with this sequence. This whole series will give you power and relaxation to enjoy your life with full on energy.
1. We will start healing from lower body by balancing yin and yang in quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, adductors and gluteals muscle to give proper range of motion to hip joint.
2. Strength and flexibility of upper body by stabilizing and mobilizing the shoulder girdle.
3. Firing up the deep erector spine with all superficial muscles of back and extending the whole spine by stretching the front core rectus abdominals, hip flexors and pectorals muscles.
4. Stabilizing the core especially the transverse, external internal obliques with rectus abdominals and deep back multifidus muscles to develop the strength from centre.
5. Learning the tilt of pelvic with the extension of lumbar, thoracic and crevice spine will move the Prana into whole back of your body from heels to fingertips.

James will teach us to explore our Uddiyanna Bandhas – with the Bandhas breathing and Nauli breathing & Kriya Cleansing which will be part of the foundation to arm balances and inversion. James strongly highlights the use of our bandhas to make our poses lighter and easier to achieve. He will be sharing poses from arm balances to inversion poses. The mystery of the core and bandhas will be revealed to our hand balancing yogis! Be ready to breath, drip, be yippie Upside down!

Self-Love is the Secret with Anna

This gentle yet strong practice consists of a yoga flow, twists, and supine poses that are all focused on creating a strong feeling of self-acceptance. It encourages breathing with awareness into the experience of each pose. Standing asanas are the basis of  the practice of yoga. Mastering this basis will then easily guide you into all other asanas. In our morning class at the of the festival you will be introduced to a few techniques involving the use of props to refine the alignment in standing postures.

Tripsichore Yoga, a unique creation by Edward Clark or you could call it as a modern contemporary style of yoga. It blends gracefully dance choregraphy with the yoga discipline (primarily works on a variety of bandhas & breathing principles). Tripsichore pronounces – Trip-sic-Uh-ree, the chore is pronounced like the beginning of Choreography. The name is derived from the Greek muse of Dance Terpsichore.
The practice helps you to be present mindfully and to focus on each move , each breath, each transition in the extraordinary Tripsichore Sun salutation variations. This class would be recommended for those who are already comfortable with inversions or headstands.

An Iyengar Class with an emphasis on alignment will focus on lengthening and extension of the spine to work into twists. We will work with postures that provide a fundamental understanding of twists and work towards some deeper twists in standings, seated postures, inversions and supine postures.
